CRAFTED BY HAND IN THE HILLS OF BRIONES

From a little clay
to a lot of character.

All our gnomes are crafted by hand in the hills of Briones. Every design starts with an original clay sculpture. From there, it takes one of two paths—scanning and resin printing, or hand casting using silicone molds—before the final hand-painted details.

First, the clay.

Every design begins with clay shaped by hand. Hats, faces, beards, and tiny accessories take form at the sculpting table, giving the original its personality.

Then, a new form.

The clay original can be reproduced in two ways. Both carry the sculpted character forward to a new piece.

Scanning & resin printing

The hand-sculpted original is scanned, and the digital model is prepared for resin printing.

Mold making & hand casting

A silicone mold captures the original’s shape and details so a new figure can be cast by hand.

Finally, the character.

Each gnome is carefully painted by hand. Color picks out the expression, clothing, and sculpted textures, bringing the little character to life.
